I'm going to do a few 'Old World' photos. I don't know how these will be taken, and I don't personally think that they are of a very high standard.
I searched through some of my older photos (read crap as well), with the intention of experimenting with levels/saturation/so-and-so. I wanted to try and make the best I could out of rubbish photos in the hope that I would learn something. I discovered that one way to make something look better than it really is, is to make it look like it is less than it really is, and thus not so bad for what it seems to be (that only just about makes sense to me, so if your confused about my concept - i understand).
Anyway, I hope that you are not to offended by the quality. These really are just an experiment (one that may become an ongoing one).
P.S. I don't think that the changes I have made to these photos are great enough to constitute placement in the photo manipulation gallery, but if anyway disagrees, then I am sorry.
I guess this is my favourite photo from your gallery, it's very strong imho, the lonely horse, the foggy look and great toning too.. the grain fits well to the 'old style'. Very well done!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
